Andrew Derkatch is a creative and innovative artist based in Sydney, Australia. With over 15 years of experience as a graphic designer in both corporate and freelance settings, his work is a unique combination of precision and flair. His passion for art began in his early education and has evolved into a diverse and dynamic portfolio that extends beyond professional boundaries to personal artworks cherished by family and friends.

Andrew's academic background is varied and has contributed to his art. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Horticulture with a major in Landscape Design from Western Sydney University and an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design from Enmore Design Centre TAFE. This multifaceted education has honed his design skills and enriched his artistic perspective, allowing him to draw inspiration from the natural world and integrate it seamlessly into his creations.

Traditionally, Andrew uses ink, acrylics, watercolours, graphite, pencils, and pastels in his work. However, his passion for technology has also led him to explore digital tools. This approach reflects his ability to blend traditional techniques with cutting-edge technology, offering a fresh take on classic themes.

Andrew's art style is predominantly impressionistic, with landscapes often serving as his muse. Andrew has an great admiration for the works of Cezanne, Monet, Picasso, and Albrecht Dürer.

However, uniquely his own, Andrew blends the impressionistic and post-impressionistic styles for modern times.  He has a passio for the natural world and of botany, and creates botanical art pieces, which is a nod to his horticultural background.
